Services Offered
In all services, I aim to to be LGBTQIA+, culturally, and neurodivergent affirming, and I continually seek out training to best meet the individual needs of my clients.
Therapy for Childhood/Attachment Trauma
I specialize in using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) alongside other trauma-informed modalities to help individuals experiencing Complex PTSD (CPTSD) reduce their symptoms and regain control over their lives. EMDR is a proven, evidence-based approach that targets the painful memories and emotional blocks at the root of trauma, facilitating natural healing and integration.
By combining EMDR with personalized, trauma-informed techniques, I provide a safe and supportive environment in which clients can process trauma without becoming overwhelmed. This integrative approach not only alleviates symptoms such as flashbacks, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation but also empowers clients to reconnect with their true selves.
My goal is to help you move beyond survival mode to lead a more authentic, balanced life—free from the weight of past trauma. Through compassionate guidance and effective therapeutic strategies, you can unlock resilience, build healthier relationships, and embrace a future defined by growth and self-awareness.
Therapy for Chronic Illness & Medical Trauma
Many individuals with chronic illnesses experience medical trauma due to invasive procedures, difficult diagnoses, or negative interactions with healthcare providers. We will work together to process these experiences, reducing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
Therapy for Anxiety
I use a transformative anxiety treatment combining IFS, EMDR, and Narrative Therapy. This integrative approach addresses emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects for lasting relief. IFS heals fragmented parts of self, EMDR reprocesses traumatic memories, and Narrative Therapy helps reframe stories we have received from our relationships, communities, and society. Together, they offer a personalized, evidence-based path to reduce anxiety, build resilience, and restore inner peace.
Therapy for Couples/Intimate Relationships
I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method to take a comprehensive approach to strengthening relationships. EFT delves into the emotional underpinnings of relationship distress, while the Gottman Method provides concrete skills for managing conflict and enhancing intimacy.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
One of the main pieces of feedback I receive from current clients, therapist colleagues, and honestly a lot of people when I was a kid, is that I am very caring, respectfully blunt, and at least somewhat funny.
I will never tell you how to live your life or shame you for the choices you have made or make while working together. Instead, I will invite gentle reminders and challenges to patterns you have identified as unhelpful, and we will work together to identify roadblocks to desired change and find ways to maintain progress made.
You can expect me to give information on the kinds of therapy we may engage in, talk about the important role the body plays in adaptively responding to emotions and healing from trauma, and aim to provide a safe, supportive, shame-free environment.
-
Usually, the consultation is on the phone, but I offer them on Zoom as well. I’ll start off with checking if you have any immediate questions or concerns. Then we will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re looking for in a therapist, and my background in terms of education, personality, and most utilized therapeutic modalities.
I’ll also ask about your preferred availability and if you are hoping to use insurance or private pay.
At the end of the consultation, I’ll ask you how you want to proceed, whether that is scheduling a first therapy session, taking time to think, or deciding I’m not a good fit.
-
I accept Colorado Access Medicaid, Kaiser, Carelon, and Aetna insurance plans. During our initial consultation, I will verify your insurance benefits and confirm if I accept your specific insurance plan.
For private pay (not using or billing insurance), my rate is $160 per 50 minutes for individuals and $185 per minutes for couples/intimate relationships. 80 minute sessions are available for an extra $40. While these rates might seem high, they are well-aligned with the rate for a therapist with my level of expertise and education in the Denver area.

I will never tell you what to believe, and I will never attempt to persuade your political views. Nonetheless, for many of my clients it is important that they have a basic idea of my political beliefs so they can determine if I might be able to provide a safe enough place for them to process distressing and often very vulnerable topics.
I’m not an apolitical therapist, meaning that I don’t shy away from politically-oriented discussions in therapy. As is relevant and desired, we can explore the influence that society (and much of its current chaos) might have on your wellbeing and/or your relationships.
I aim to integrate techniques and values based in anti-oppressive and decolonized lenses. I am continually learning more about how to do this, taking guidance and inspiration from leaders such as:

In short, yes! In an initial consultation, we talk about the specifics of what I may or may not be able to provide. I write letters for gender-affirming care at no charge for people ages 18 and above. I write letters for people regardless if they fit into the binary of trans woman/trans man or not.
If you have insurance that would cover a session, I can receive payment through insurers if you provide consent to submit an insurance claim. If you feel strongly about paying for this service and you don’t have Medicaid, we can agree on a price that will be financially feasible for you.
How the process works:
The letter writing process begins with an intake form to be completed before the first meeting, either in person or virtual. When we meet, we will go over the intake paperwork, answer any questions you may have, and collaboratively construct the letter tailored to your specifics. Oftentimes, we may need to only meet once. In some instances, I may suggest meeting a few times to get to know you better and ensure that the letter I’m writing is accurate to your background and needs. After we meet, I will provide a draft for you to approve or suggest edits, and once the final draft is approved, I will provide a signed PDF copy.
I can’t guarantee that your care will be covered with my letter. I diligently work to keep up to date on requirements from insurance companies and meet your specific provider’s requests, but I can’t make any guarantees. The more information you can provide from your medical provider and insurance, the more likely I can write an acceptable letter. If the first draft of a written letter is not accepted by your provider and/or insurance, I’m happy to make the necessary changes free of charge.
-
I offer both in person and virtual options. I also welcome clients looking for a hybrid model to incorporate both in person and virtual sessions.
In person during weekdays I am located at 673 Grant Street in Capitol Hill on Wednesdays and at 6000 E Evans Ave in south Denver on Fridays.
I can work virtually with anyone anywhere in the state of Colorado.

Sessions are about 50 minutes long, with the option for 80 minute sessions on a case-by-case basis. Usually I work with clients on a weekly or every-other-week basis. Regular frequency improves and quickens progress. Because one of my primary specializations is trauma work, I often work with clients for 1 or more years, but I also work with many clients for short-term goals and may only work together for 3-6 months.
-
That’s fine, and it’s common! In our first few therapy sessions, we will discuss your background and explore possible treatment goals. Sometimes, what we work on is also just exploring different themes like emotion regulation or stress management and discovering areas for potential desired growth.
-
Possibly. The areas listed on my website are the main concerns I have supported clients with, but that doesn’t mean I can’t support with others. If you’d like to work on something not listed and you feel I may be a good fit, please reach out for a free consultation and we can determine if I can help, or I can provide referrals for other therapists who may be a good fit.
